Swiss scientists have predicted when the Alps will be almost ice-free

According to more realistic predictions, the Alps will lose up to 65% of their ice over the next two decades if humanity does not take radical steps to solve the climate problem. Some scientists are more optimistic and predict such large-scale losses only by the end of this century.
