Alec Baldwin pleaded not guilty to murder

Actor Alec Baldwin has pleaded not guilty to a new manslaughter charge in connection with a fatal incident on the set of the 2021 western “Rust.”

Alec Baldwin, 65, filed the relevant documents in Santa Fe County court the day before he was scheduled to be formally indicted. after a New Mexico grand jury decided to give the case a second shot on Jan. 19, 2024.

According to court documents, Alec Baldwin was released on his own recognizance. As part of the terms of his release, the actor must abide by all local, state and federal laws, cannot possess firearms or dangerous weapons, cannot use drugs or alcohol and cannot leave the country without written authorization.

The court allowed him to promote the movie Rust, but he can’t discuss the accident itself with anyone on the crew who might testify or with the victims.
